SOMETIMES I WAKE UP FEELING SLEEPIER THAN THE DAY AHEAD OF ME.

Going back to sleep doesn't fix anything either, the only thing you can do about it (which is not little) is to get your legs out of bed & walk the day away. Marcel didn't want to get out of bed, I left him sleeping and went to the café. As you know, my days start with a walk with Marcel (not today) & a visit to my dear friends: croissant & coffee with milk. Today, Sunday, none of us missed the appointment (Except Marcel). Then I went to the swimming pool& on the way back I bought cakes for my aunt & nephew's anniversary. On the way back I took Marcel for a walk. When we got to the lawn he jumped down on the ground for me to scratch him. Today he is lazy, today is his day.

BOOKS, KISSES, ROSES.

Next Tuesday, April 23rd is my favorite day of the year: Sant Jordi, the international book day that commemorates both Cervantes and Shakespeare's deaths. Did they really die on the same day? Conspiracies aside, in Catalonia Sant Jordi is the day of lovers. Tradition has it that the man gives the woman a rose & she gives him a book. Luckily we no longer live in tradition & we can give whatever we want. Write it down: I love books and flowers (in case you decide to give me something at any time of the year).

I studied fine arts in Barcelona & Sant Jordi was the patron saint of the faculty. This day was always a holiday so I would go for a walk in the center among roses & books. I really can't imagine a better holiday.
