MARCEL INVITES YOU TO HIS BDAY
Today Marcel turns 11 years old and of course we have organized a brunch that you can't miss. The best part of the menu has been taken by him, a chicken meat pie. I hope you like the tea, this is blue is called Marco Polo and is from @mariagefreresofficial. The cake is carrot cake from @lamasbonitavlc and has dried fruits inside like nuts and raisins. I think the cream cheese cream has white chocolate in it. The pistachio croissants that you see so well are from @lamasbonitavlc , according to an absolutely objective and scientific international study made by me, they are undoubtedly the best croissants in the world. The filling is white Nutella with pistachio. The macaroons were not really good, I do not say the brand, do not try them (I write this while I eat the last and what is left of cake).
His birthday started yesterday, we went shopping together in valencia looking for these delicacies. When we got home, doggy hairdresser and spa. This morning we were in no hurry to get up, a long massage in bed and then we went to the cafeteria to eat crumbs from the floor of the terrace. while we were there we ordered a mini croissant (for him) and a big chocolate croissant (for me). My friends when they see the pictures tell me how lucky he is to be with me, I think how lucky I am to have him. every day I learn new things from him, like that the only thing that really matters is to go to a cafeteria to get crumbs and smell the flowers.

In my favorite store in the world is in Paris @lamouetterieuseparis & they put us off this mystery book format: you buy it with a simple handwritten recommendation on the wrapper but without knowing which book it is. I recommend it for gifts that will surprise also you who are doing it.

. “101 Dalmatians” (1961). Based in a novel from 1956 with the same name that he loves too. His brother Victor & him love to look the screen as the puppies do in the movie.
. “Cruela” (2021). Marcel loves Emma Stone outfits & thinks that this movie is a timeless fashion reference that reinvented the image of the villain character.

MAKE A VAIN WISH & BLOW THE CANDLE
Sometimes the vain desires are the most necessary. I once wished there was a computer I could draw directly on. Later the Wacom Cintiq arrived, it was big and heavy, I thought, "there will come a portable screen where I can draw directly". Not only did that screen arrive, Apple called me to promote it and draw at a live event in their Saint -Germain store when they launched the iPad with pencil and Procreate (LINK to the story). We tend to ask for transcendental, big and necessary wishes (health, money, love, peace) and we forget that the most vital ones are also important and can change our lives forever.

. Today it is the birthday of my uncle Jose from Paris. He was born on 04/04/1939 in Valencia during a bombing. In 1975 my mother was studying French and stayed a few months in his house. In 2013, when I went to live in Paris I stayed in that same house. I was the same age as my mother was when she went years before. But this is another story for another article & another brunch...
You are invited to our next brunch, Chloé, Théo and S. will come. Marcel won't miss it because he lives here and loves visitors and, of course, tables full of food. Between plates, cups and glasses we will talk about new beginnings. The theme will be “RESTART”. We will be waiting for you with warm croissants and freshly brewed coffee. Come!
