CROSSING LIVES & LOVES
I have fallen in love, I know what love is, it is a place that does not exist and from which we cannot leave. We know it exists because it shows itself in unexpected places: in a look, in a gesture, in a detail, in a moment. When you cuddle under a blanket you know that this is love, as if the threads that cross and create the pictures were yourselves, creating a drawing together. And outside, outside the blanket, the world, the cold meeting the heat, the steam that rises and disappears.

WARM IS SQUARED
Textile fabrics are a structure of threads in two directions: vertical and horizontal. When we pass threads of different colours in a certain rhythm and composition we create the checks, plaids or squares that are called Tartar (not to be confused with steak tartare, these threads are not eaten).
The most famous and oldest tatars are Scottish, although it is possible that they came from Asia. In Scotland, each clan had their own tartar design to represent them as a group.
Another popular type of tartar is the Vichy square. It is often associated with traditional French & Italian restaurants & picnics.
A curiosity in the fashion world is the fabric known as "Pie de poule" (because of its resemblance to a chicken's leg) is actually a tartar with an exaggeratedly large design.
The Burberry brand designed its own tartar and over the years has applied it to all kinds of products, with this design being a summary & the best representation of its identity.
Throughout history, the tartar has always been used in a very many ways: from Scottish kilts, through dance dresses, hunting costumes or as a symbol of subcultures such as grunge or punk. This latter movement has a genuine and branded representation in the fashion label Vivien Westwood.

A ROMANTIC SPOT IN PARIS DURING THE WINTER
LE PAVILLON DES CANAUX . 39 Quai de la Loire - 75019 Paris.
Not usually busy on weekday evenings in winter if it's cold.
You can go first to the cinema at MK2 Quai de Seine / Quai de Loire & then have a warm drink at Le Pavillon Canaux.
Love and laughter always find you, AS MUCH AS YOU TRY TO SCAPE FROM THEM.
