STYLE

Simple, fun & Parisian.

I like simple ideas with color impacts. My color palette is that of macaroons, ash pastel and saturated. An exercise I like to do is to put in front of me a book on a subject, such as 1920s fashion or movie costumes, to get inspired by them.

Since I do such simple things, the important thing is the concept. I try to think a lot about the idea by reading, writing, watching movies while I do a lot of drawings. Here I experiment and anything goes. Then I scan them, the sketches or tests also in case there is some texture or element that I can use later. Then in digitally I build the scene I want. I also use previous drawings or parts of them. It's something very modular.

In my drawings I try to show the patterns, the seams, the stitching... the clothes define the character, they speak of his character through him. In my imagination I have a closet of clothes.

INSPIRATION

I love Art Nouveau & Art Deco.

My library is my great treasure, I have a fashion encyclopedia written in the 1920s, an Orient Express guide from 1900, the exhibition book "Volez, Voguez, Voaygez. Louis Vuitton," about an exhibition of Louis Vuitton travel accessories.

During my travels, I draw wherever I find myself: in a plain, a station, a cafe, a train.

In Paris, apart from cafés, I like to go to work at the Fournier Library which specializes in graphics and fashion. Picking up any book and sitting down to draw with it in front of you is already an experience. Going to museums and cinemas also gives very valuable information. And the streets of Paris itself, impossible not to be inspired. Swimming among all these things, inspiration reveals itself. I like the feeling of not knowing what is going to happen, of not knowing what drawing is sleeping on the paper waiting for me to wake it up.

MODUS OPERANDI

I sleep a lot, do meditation, I do sports, I enjoy a social life & traveling as much as I can.

Sometimes we only give importance to work but for me it's more important everything that happens when you don't draw. Those things define you as a person and that person is the one who expresses himself by creating. Over the years I give more importance to that life than just thinking about my career. I think it's a secret why nobody gives importance to this, not even when you are a student. Nobody tells you to prioritize your life and your health and that everything will be fine.

I love nature & having breakfast, that’s my most characteristic point of view to Art.
