THE BEAUTY

If you don't think summer isn't one of your favorite times of the year, it's because you haven't found yours: it's nice weather, we have vacations, you wear few clothes and we see more of our body, we show it more in public. I'm already a year and a half into operation bikini for 2022 and we are already at the end of 2023. I take care of myself a lot and, even so, I can't help but find flaws. I reflected on that recently in my diary and found the answer: I have no referents for my own body. When we live so intensely under this sea of images of other people's bodies, we tend to think that theirs is the canon of beauty and, by reflection, not ours. But I don't see it in a negative way, au contraire, this is a great opportunity to create something really great: my own canon of beauty. I'm a man with wide hips and this got me thinking about a coffee machine. I love the idea. Coffee machine body. Not only does it stone me, when I make coffee I like it and, when I drink it afterwards I think: "it's good" - the coffee :P -.

What's left of summer is for us, with heat, with sun, with or without vacations, it's ours. This visual poem "BEAUTIFUL SUMMER" is not only an article of illustrations, it is also a space that invites you to like yourself, to make your own canon of beauty and enjoy yourself as you are. No one can do it better than you. Let’s jump inside this colorful pool!

LA BELLEZA

Si no crees que el verano no es una de tus épocas favoritas del año es porqué no has encontrado el tuyo: hace buen tiempo, tenemos vacaciones, llevas poca ropa y vemos más nuestro cuerpo, lo mostramos más en público. Ya llevo un año y medio de operación bikini para 2022 y ya estamos a finales de 2023. Yo me cuido mucho y, aún así, no puedo evitar encontrarme fallos. Reflexioné hace poco sobre eso en mi diario y encontré la respuesta: no tengo referentes para mi propio cuerpo. Cuando vivimos de forma tan intensa bajo este mar de imágenes de cuerpos de otras personas nos da por pensar que ese, el suyo, es el canon de belleza y, por reflejo, no el nuestro. Pero yo no lo veo de forma negativa, au contraire, esta es una gran oportunidad para crear algo realmente grande: mi propio canon de belleza. Soy un hombre con cadera ancha y esto me hizo pensar en una cafetera. Me encanta la idea. Cuerpo cafetera. No solo me empiedra, cuando preparo café me gusto y, cuando luego me lo bebo pienso: “es que está bueno” - el café :P -.

Lo que queda de verano es para nosotros, con calor, con sol, con o sin vacaciones, es nuestro. Este poema visual “BEAUTIFUL SUMMER” no es solo un artículo de ilustraciones, también es un espacio que te invita a que te gustes, que te hagas tu propio canon de belleza y te disfrutes así como eres. Nadie puede hacerlo mejor que tú. ¡Vamos a saltar dentro de esta colorida piscina!
